Pilates Mat Flow
Pilates Mat Flow is a core-strengthening, flexibility-enhancing movement practice that draws from Joseph Pilates' classic 34 mat exercises and his students' work. Accessible to beginners yet challenging for seasoned movers, this low-impact practice uses body weight and small props to improve posture, alignment, and overall strength—with the occasional Downward Facing Dog included!

"The Three-Dimensional Rider:
Saturday, April 19th, at 1:30-3:30pm
Sonnenhof Equestrian Center, Easton, CT
Understanding the Whole Body Through Its Parts"

Our bodies are organic structures. We move as one shape. When we’re out of balance, the whole body reacts. As a rider, your horse feels this imbalance too. In this two-hour workshop, we’ll explore how the shoulder girdle and the pelvis work together, how tension in the feet affect…everything! We’ll play with, among other things, rotation, movement at the skull, wrist and hand strength, and how breath can knit things together in a pinch. We’ll use a variety of props and techniques, stay curious, and have fun - your horse will thank you!(I may even bake cookies for everyone!) All levels welcomed.

Limited to 12 people.
